Recognised Prior Learning
Should you wish to apply for credit for your prior learning, please get in touch with us via email or telephone prior to enrolment.
Comprehensive information on the training that we provide is available on our website, in the course brochures and Training and Assessment Strategies. If you require additional information, or clarification on anything, please contact us.
Prior to applying to enrol in a course, please ensure you have a full understanding of all details relating to the course.
Assessment is a fundamental pillar of learning. Completing assessment is necessary for you to complete a course at Decode College.
Assessment will be conducted throughout the term and may include theoretical and practical components.
For a copy of our courses Training and Assessment Strategies, please contact us and we will be happy to email this information to you.
Supporting Student Needs
We understand students have their own individual needs. Decode College aims to support student needs, wherever possible.
If you have linguistic, literacy, numeracy, mobility, visual or hearing impairment or any other particular need that could hinder your ability to participate in the course, please inform us prior to enrolling. We will do all we can to accommodate your needs and ensure you have the best learning experience you can at Decode College.
If you do not inform us of your particular need prior to enrolment, we may not be able to facilitate arrangements for you, which may impact your course completion.
While studying at Decode College, you should be able to have fun and focus on your studies. If you feel harassed, discriminated or abused, in any way at Decode College, please notify the Director immediately. We can also put you in touch with our student counsellor.
Your feedback is important to us. Complaints can be made verbally or in writing.
Appeals on any decision made by us may be lodged with the Director and must be done so in writing.
Please refer to the International Student Handbook for more information.
We have safeguards and fair options in place for any money paid in advance and guarantee that once you have commenced your course you will be provided with every opportunity to complete the course.
For our full refund policy see Decode College International Student Handbook.
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a reference number made up of numbers and letters that creates a lifetime record for an individual of all the nationally recognised training that has been completed. Under the Unique Student Identifiers Act 2014, all RTOs must ensure they have a valid USI for any student that enrols in nationally recognised training from 2015. This means (unless you have an exemption issued by the USI registrar) that as a student you must either:
Provide us with your USI, or
Provide us with permission to access or create your USI on your behalf.
By enrolling with us, you consent to this. If you wish to not be included in Decode College’s promotional material, please advise us.
Should you wish to use these materials outside the normal distribution, such a request can be made to the Director, in writing.
If your circumstances change, please inform us.
We ask that students notify us of any change of name, address and contact details or a change in your circumstances that may affect your ability to complete your course.
For more information, contact us.
International Student Handbook
Prior to enrolling, you must read the International Student Handbook in full.
Do not complete the online enrolment form if you have not understood the above requirements and those outlined in the handbook. If required, please ask us to explain or provide further written information on any of the above before enroling.
In most cases Decode College will accept enrolment applications from all students who meet the entry requirements. Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis but if a course is full, we will make every effort to accommodate students in a course starting at a later date.
We may require you to provide additional information, undertake enrolment tests in writing, in person or over telephone or other media.
